paris picture post // day one, july 11th 2015

started the day by travelling from amsterdam airport to paris gare du nord by train. after checking in the hotel and freshing up a little, we headed towards two of the places i desperately wanted to see; the eiffel tower and the notre dame. i really wanted to get up the eiffel tower, but since it was saturday it was extremely crowded and we didn’t have time to actually stand in line, so we decided to save that for later. we walked around there for a while, took a ton of pictures and then headed for dinner and a visit to the notre dame. it being at the end of the day, there wasn’t really a queue anymore so we could walk straight in. and let me tell you, the inside is just as nice as the outisde. it was lovely. and even though the architecture of both buildings is so incredibly different, they both impressed me a lot and made a huge impact on me for a first day in lovely paris.
